About us
Service Skills Centre (formerly R&R Associates) has proudly served as a government-funded registered training provider in Rotorua for over 30 years. Originating as Fashion & Faces Ltd, our initial focus on Hair and Beauty training has evolved to prioritize youth development and the attainment of NCEA Levels 1 & 2.
Through our free Youth Guarantee Programs, accessible to 16-24-year-olds (with exemptions for 15-year-olds), students engage with unit standards in Hair, Beauty, and Retail, shaping their NCEA qualifications. Our salons provide practical settings fostering skills applicable across service industries, while also offering pathways to attain New Zealand Certificates in Foundation Skills Level 1, Retail Level 2, and Salon Skills Level 2.
Notably, our unique enrollment system allows students to commence their studies at any time of the year, crafting individualized pathways with tailored support. Our mission is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment or further education, guiding them toward their desired career trajectories.
As a NZQA registered provider, we offer recognized unit standards and nationally recognized certificates and qualifications. Additionally, our programs integrate literacy and numeracy components to support holistic skill development.
